Yoga with Marion
The System
Marion practices and teaches the Satyananda Yoga System. The Satyananda Yoga teachings are based on the Tantric system, which is one of the oldest sciences’ and philosophies of man exploring the process of expansion of mind, energy and consciousness.
Satyananda Yoga is a very holistic system, developing body, mind and spirit. The key is awareness and equanimity as one moves deeper inwards to get in touch with ones true nature, rather than the identification with the conditioned personality.
The benefits for the physical body are more a welcomed side effect than it’s main purpose. Awareness of Consciousness and Life Force is heightened through moving and holding postures in synchronicity with the Breath. This can bring us closer to our Inner Self and realizing our true nature.
Who Can Do It?
Satyananda Yoga allows everybody, young and old, fit and not so fit to participate together, yet individually choosing the aspects or the depth of each practise that suits personal needs.
For example a physically well able person can also get a lot out of a gentle class by focusing more on the mental awareness which could turn simple movements into a meditative practise.
The beginner focuses more on the body, hence sharpening awareness while developing strength, flexibility and stamina.
As body and mind grow more into union ( Yoga means union of body and mind) the poses and practises will become stronger and deeper.
A Gentle Yoga class consists of gentle Asanas, basic Pranayama, Relaxation and Yoga Nidra.
Classes build up the Asanas systematically, gradually and gently with awareness of the whole being using the breath as the bridge between the body and the mind.
The student will learn the fundamental practises to protect the spine improving mobility, coordination and health through core exercises that strengthen the abdominal muscles. Enhanced flexibility of the spine helps to alleviate conditions like tension headache, backache, bad posture and lack of energy.
Through Relaxation techniques the student learns how to release stress and restore energy. Visualisation helps to create positive thinking.
Body and breath awareness are integral parts to enter the Here and Now, preparing for more subtle practises on the inner journey to meet ones own pure essence.
The Continuation class works with moderate to challenging Asanas (everybody according to their own needs, no pressure, no competing), more complex Pranayamas and an introduction to Meditation practises.
The Advanced class is for the experienced student with a deeper understanding of Yoga and Meditation as well as a fit and able body to explore stronger as well as subtler postures and practises.

Meditation is a method to attain health and happiness
In meditation classes Marion teaches a variety of techniques that gradually bring the practitioner from gross to subtler vibrations aiming to transcend the mind. These techniques stem from the ancient Tantric tradition of mind expansion.
Why Meditate?
Through meditation we can expand our consciousness by guiding our conscious, waking mind from the external into our own inner world. Here we can connect with the layers of our subconscious mind and realise the difference between our ego and the higher self.
Your Unique Potential
Through regular practice we can untangle and reprogram the conditionings and limitations of our ego mind and expand our awareness into the higher levels of consciousness.
These subtle vibrations allow us to perceive higher knowledge and truth, intuition and inspiration that are essential to reach our full unique potential, and hence bring forth wellbeing and contentment.
The closer we get to our true self the more authentic and powerful we become, as we are able to live our material and our spiritual life without conflict.
